Power Moves
A women’s leisure & workwear collection inspired by women’s activism and historic icon, Rosie the Riveter. Investigation of tailoring techniques and military uniform construction facilitated my senior thesis study and pursuit to convey strength and resilience through apparel. Ironically, with a prominent menswear influence, Power Moves demonstrates my contemporary take on military utility and merges comfort/function with workwear. Today's political climate should encourage women to make a statement and ultimately advance our ever-evolving society. This collection celebrates the strength of authoritative women everywhere.
